Chanel N°5 Eau de Parfum

I cannot have a round-up of the best-selling Chanel perfumes without placing the one that started it all, Chanel No. 5 on this list.

Aldehydes is the hard-hitting scent in this classic fragrance. The floral notes of jasmine and rose are perfectly balanced with the woody and amber undertones, creating a rich and complex aroma that is simply irresistible.

The base notes, however, are noticed very early on and not just in the dry down. Sandalwood, patchouli, oakmoss, vetiver are there. The vanilla peaks through ever-so-slightly, but adds a subtle, but crucial, warmth and sweetness.

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum

Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum is a true masterpiece that exudes elegance, sophistication, and feminine charm.

The opening notes of fresh orange and vibrant bergamot immediately captivate the senses, creating a bright and energetic introduction.

As the fragrance evolves, the heart notes of delicate rose and jasmine delicately intertwine, adding a touch of floral elegance. Finally, the base notes of warm vanilla and patchouli provide a seductive and lasting allure.

Chanel Chance Eau Tendre Eau de Parfum

The Chanel Chance Eau Tendre is a breath of fresh air in a bottle. This fragrance effortlessly combines delicate floral notes with a touch of fruity sweetness, creating an enchanting and refreshing experience.

The opening of this fragrance is fresh and fruity, with notes of grapefruit and pink pepper giving it a zesty and uplifting quality.

The heart of the fragrance is where the floral notes shine through, with a beautiful blend of jasmine and hyacinth, adding a romantic and delicate touch to the scent.

The base notes of this fragrance are warm and comforting, with notes of musk, amber, and cedarwood, which give it a slightly woody and creamy feel.

Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche Eau de Parfum

Chance Eau Fraîche is a perfect fragrance for those looking for a light and refreshing scent to wear.

It smells fresh, citrusy, complex but very well blended. Its clean and crisp scent is perfect for those who prefer fresh and light fragrances.

The opening notes of lemon, citron and cedar, provide a fresh start. The middle notes are more floral and feminine, with water hyacinth, jasmine, and pink pepper. Grounded by base notes of amber, patchouli, and white musk which provide a light airiness.

Chanel Gabrielle Chanel Essence Eau de Parfum

Inspired by the passionate creator of the Chanel brand, the Gabrielle scent is a more voluptuous, intensely feminine interpretation of the typical floral fragrances.

It opens up with grapefruit and orange notes. Then, an intense and multi-faceted floral composition, in which jasmine, ylang-ylang, orange blossom and tuberose unfold. It finishes off with musk and sandalwood notes.

Chanel Chance Eau de Parfum

The original Chance is truly a remarkable perfume.

Chanel Chance Eau De Parfum Spray includes pink pepper, jasmine and amber notes.

The patchouli intertwine in an elusive, ever-changing composition that is at times floral, spicy, sensual and gourmand, with heightened floral and vanilla base notes.

Chanel N°5 L’eau

Since this is a “l’eau” composition, this particular perfume is not meant to be heavy.

This is classified as a floral aldehyde fragrance, with notes of aldehydes, lemon, neroli, ylang-ylang, jasmine, and white musk. The signature aldehyde opening is extremely fresh and the opening citruses of lemon, orange, and lime further carry out that zesty freshness.

The florals are quite understated, with the exception to the ylang-ylang which really shines through. It is finished with base notes of vanilla and cedar.
