The baddie aesthetic originally came from social media, particularly Instagram and Tik Tok. I started to notice it on Instagram when I spotted girls posing wearing oversized shirts and chunky sneakers. Slowly, it started taking over my feed.

What is the Baddie Aesthetic?

The baddie aesthetic focuses on clothing, makeup, and nails. It is a style that focuses on sporty streetwear, primarily focusing on comfort and style. This streetwear category can feature chunky sneakers, oversized clothing, puffer coats, crop tops and an overall badass vibe. Along with wearing streetwear, Gen Z also embraces a certain level of attitude that comes with this aesthetic. Baddie girls are self-confident in themselves and what they are wearing. Gen Z is so self-confident in their vibe that it easy to transmit and want to also embrace that confidence. It was only a matter of time that a social media trend would become accepted and is currently mainstream in fashion.

What to wear for the Winter?

So how does one become a baddie wearing Winter clothes? Winter doesn’t feel like the time to try out this trend. However, it is the perfect time to try out this aesthetic. Baddie outfits are practical, yet expressive. There is an element of comfort to the looks. There is also an element of edginess. At times, the two elements come together in one look. Baddie Winter outfits are no exception to the rule. There are a plethora of ways to utilize this style for Winter: you can elongate your legs with a miniskirt, or wear a sheer top with trousers, or simply be comfortable and wear a tracksuit.
